Runway For A Cure in the News

Our Mission and Programs

Giving With Purpose

The proceeds from our various fundraising campaigns and donations from our sponsors are used to support cancer survivors in underserved communities in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. We strive to educate women under 50 of the importance of early detection especially if there is a family history of cancer. The death rate of women in this age demographic has continued to rise and Breast Cancer is the second leading cause of death in women next to lung cancer.

Financial Assistance

Our financial assistance program aims to aide survivors by donating funds funds to offset the cost of utilities, mortgage/rent, transportation, and other household financial obligations.

Assistance with Mammography Costs

We donate to pay for 3D mammograms for patients (men or women) who are uninsured or underinsured in underserved communities in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.

Our Community Outreach

Our team attends and volunteers at community events that promote the importance of Cancer Awareness, early detection education, and annual mammogram and health screenings.

Our Mother's and Survivor Appreciation Brunch

We host appreciation events for friends and family of our annual fashion event.  It is important for us to keep in touch with the survivors who have participated in our events.  A sisterhood has evolved from their involvement with the annual fashion event.

Tito's Vodka

In the early days of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Tito donated product to local nonprofit events. Over time those small, localized gestures not only continued, but evolved into a nationwide movement to make the world a better place.

As the company grew, Tito empowered each and every member of the team, regardless of their role, to support the causes they were passionate about in their local communities. As Tito’s Handmade Vodka continued to gain momentum across the country, involvement in philanthropy grew in tandem. The more people who joined the Tito’s family, the more hearts and hands were out in the world spreading love and goodness, with Tito’s behind them all the way.

    Meet the Founder

    The Rebirth of Style "T.R.O.S."

The "Runway for a Cure DC" Fashion Show is partnering with the 16th Annual Official Pink & White Affair again this year to bring a fashion showcase to the affair

Our mission is to celebrate Breast Cancer Survivors, encourage family and friends of those affected by Breast Cancer, and to give back to individuals or organizations who support Breast Cancer Research, Awareness, and Survivors!

My father passed away from complications due to his prostate cancer treatment.  My mother selected one of the best family health insurance plans, before her retirement, which removed any financial stress from our family during my father's treatment. This made it easy for us to focus on his treatment and care (instead of medical bills).

So many cancer patients don't have adequate health insurance coverage and it is difficult to pay for the medications, reconstructive surgeries, and even  everyday expenses.

We want to help make a difference in the lives of those who need screening, education, treatment, transportation, or just help with their monthly bills.
